Ask Father...
I thought the Mass was to be celebrated in the same manner in all parishes! When I visit another Church, the congregation is kneeling during the reception of the Eucharist, and kneeling during the Consecration, where we at St. Barnabas stand at those times. Also, during the Our Father, most people are not showing their hands. I thought Vatican II changed all that so that we are truly One Holy Catholic Church!

The Faithful Citizenship Corner
During election years, there may be many handouts and voter guides that are produced and distributed. We encourage Catholics to seek those resources that are authorized by their own bishops, their state Catholic conferences, and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. This statement is intended to reflect and complement, not substitute for, the ongoing teaching of bishops in our own dioceses and states. In light of these reflections and those of local bishops, we encourage Catholics throughout the United States to be active in the political process, particularly in these challenging times. (FC, # 7)

What materials are you using to prepare yourself to vote in November? If you haven’t done so yet, read the Bishops’ statement on Faithful Citizenship (full text and summary available at www.faithfulcitizenship.org).
On-Line Priest Q & A
Do you have a question about our Catholic faith that you want to ask a priest but haven't had a good opportunity to ask it? Here's your chance! Send your question to Caryn at the Rectory (330-467-7959) or clintner@sbcglobal.net. We will list your question anonymously on the new Ask Father page, and a priest will answer your question.
Policy for the Safety of Children in Matters of Sexual Abuse
