Ask Father...
“Fr. Bob's response to a question concerning the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) was that we do not HAVE to go to Confession. I was (am) still under the impression that Church law required every Catholic of age to receive both the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist once a year during the Easter period.”

On-Line Priest Q & A
Do you have a question about our Catholic faith that you want to ask a priest but haven't had a good opportunity to ask it? Here's your chance! Send your question to Caryn at the Rectory (330-467-7959) or dogmom1955@gmail.com. We will list your question anonymously on the Ask Father page, and a Priest will answer your question.
A Prayer for Safe Return of Our Troops
Good and loving God,
Your provident hand guards all those who look to you. You lend your strength to those who defend the weak, and give your blessing to all who work for peace. Watch over and protect all who serve in the armed forces of our nation and surround them with your love and care.
Bring those who are deployed overseas safely home into the welcoming arms of their families and to the warmth of hearth and home. Let families be reunited, and spouses joined together once more. May children enjoy the blessing of parental love, and may friends renew their companionship.
Give every grace to those who come home so that they may be steadfast and sure and may know that they are at peace in your love. Amen.

After learning of the U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services announcement that almost ALL employers, including Catholic employers, will be forced to offer their employees health coverage that includes sterilization, abortion-inducing drugs, and contraception; and hearing our Bishops and Priests denounce this violation of our consciences, here is something we can do, along with prayer and fasting, to try to change this awful ruling.

We need to support the "RESPECT FOR RIGHTS OF CONSCIENCE ACT" by writing or calling our representatives. Click here for their contact information.

Baptism Orientation Class
The next Baptism orientation class will be held on Sunday, February 19, at 1:15 p.m. in Rectory Room 1. Baptisms are celebrated the first, third and fifth Sundays of the month at 1:15 p.m. If you have not attended a class in the last five (5) years, you will need to attend an orientation session before the Baptism of your child. It is suggested that you attend this class early in the pregnancy. Please contact the Rectory to register for this class. Sign up early! The next class won’t be until May.
HOMEBOUND MINISTRY is g r o w i n g........!
We are looking for Eucharistic Ministers who are wanting to join this beautiful outreach ministry to visit the sick of our parish. We have a variety of different visitation sites from nursing home settings, group homes, to individual homes. A pyx and burse will be provided along with a brief orientation held at our Church.

Won't you prayerfully consider bringing "Jesus" to one of the several locations listed below?
  • 2nd Sundays at Northfield Retirement Village: 10:00—11:30 a.m. for one-on-one Communion visits.
  • Grand Manor (an adult MRDD group home on Alexander Road) every 4-5 week rotation on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. for a 20-minute Communion service. Please contact Joe Candio at 330-468-4994 for this assignment.
  • Substitutes are ALWAYS needed for in-home visits—15-20 minutes (a great way to begin this ministry.)
Any questions or to set up a time for an orientation, please call Rosi at 330-468-2568. Thanks.

Please check the products you purchase for box tops and labels, and place them in the Box Tops for Education box located in the Gathering Space. Be sure to visit www.boxtops4education.com and www.tyson.com/projectaplus for more information about these programs and participating products. You will also find coupons, contests to benefit our school and other promotions.
