St. Barnabas Parish Family's Music Ministry is composed of the following
organizations for people of all ages and talents:
- Click here to see the various music programs and rehearsal.
- Click here for AN UPDATED LIST of liturgies and events during the
Advent and Christmas seasons where our various music ministries will be singing/playing. Note that some events are
held at locations other than St. Barnabas. Spread the word! Come join us!
- Join the NEW St. Barnabas Funeral Choir Ministry! (No musical experience is necessary!)
It is the tradition of our church to remember and pray for the deceased. In honor of this tradition, we
are forming a choir who will attend funerals held at St. Barnabas. All are welcome. No musical experience
is necessary.
Members will be contacted by email and phone as soon as a funeral is scheduled. All who are available will
attend the funeral Mass as members of the congregation seated behind the family and friends of the deceased,
thus powerfully building the voice and spirit of the congregation through spoken prayer and song. It is a
simple but powerful gesture of support and an opportunity to pray for the soul of the parishioner as well
as family and friends faced with grief. You are not put “on the spot” because of this structure. Come, and
allow God to work through you in this important outreach. Again, you do not need musical experience.
This is a newly formed ministry supported by Busy Hands, The 50 Plus Club, and the Ministry of Care and
Consolation but you do not need to be part of these ministries to join.
If interested, please contact our Director of Music, Bob Burian, at
