Announcing a Combined Christmas Concert by St. Barnabas and St. Columbkille Choirs
The Music Ministries of St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Parma, and St. Barnabas Church, Northfield,
invite everyone to attend a combined-choir Christmas concert at the historic St. Stephen Church, 1930 West
54th Street, Cleveland, on Thursday, December 29, at 7:30 p.m. in the Church.

offering will benefit the St. Augustine Hunger Center.
St. Barnabas Parish Family's Music Ministry is composed of the following
organizations for people of all ages and talents. All sessions began the week of September 19, 2011.
- Prayersong Choir
Adults and teens sing traditional and new choral arrangements (soprano, alto, tenor, bass).
Rehearsal: Wednesdays 7:00-9:00 p.m. in Music Room.
- Hand Bell Choir (No experience is necessary!)
Beginners easily learn as you shadow an experienced member.
Rehearsal: Wednesdays 6:45-9:00 p.m. in Church.

- Cherub Choir (K-Grade 3) - NEW DAY!
Fun games help your little one become excited about worship - "sing-off" contests, "name that tune," mixed with
prayer, keep them interested and excited to come to rehearsal AND Church!
Rehearsal: Mondays 5:45-6:15 p.m. in Music Room.
- Life In Praise Band
This ensemble of teens and adults has a spirited edge with keyboard, guitar and percussion.
Only 2 rehearsals (in Music Room) per month! Contact director for details.
- Youth Choir (Grades 4-8) - NEW DAY
Learn popular Praise & Worship music. Rockin' out, peacefully worshipping, and all in-between styles make
it worthwhile.
Rehearsal: Mondays 5:00-5:45 p.m.
- Cantors & Instrumentalists
Cantors are responsible for leading our Parish Family in song. Contact Bob Burian at 216-375-1969.
Rehearsals based on volunteers' schedules.
- Saturday Ensemble
These music ministers lead the 5:00 pm. Saturday Vigil congregation is a mix of contemporary and traditional
music using guitar, organ, piano, and various instruments.
- Life Teen Contemporary Ensemble
Teens and adults lead the congregation in contemporary praise and worship every week at the
Sunday 5:30 p.m.
Life Teen Mass.
Rehearsal: Sundays 4:00 p.m. and Mondays 7:00-9:00 p.m. in Church
- School Mass Ensemble
Students, teachers, and adult music ministers team up to offer an upbeat mix of praise and worship for our
Tuesday 8:30 a.m. school Masses.
- St. Barnabas Funeral Choir Ministry
Members are contacted by email and phone as soon as a funeral is scheduled. All who are available will
attend the funeral Mass as members of the congregation seated behind the family and friends of the deceased,
thus powerfully building the voice and spirit of the congregation through spoken prayer and song. It is a
simple but powerful gesture of support and an opportunity to pray for the soul of the parishioner as well
as family and friends faced with grief. You are not put “on the spot” because of this structure.
Come, and allow God to work through you in this important outreach. You do not need musical experience.
